The State State library provides links to two resources from the RAND Corporation.

Research on a wide variety of public policy challenges facing California. Articles and briefs are freely available on their website. For off-campus access to California statistics, use the library's RAND State Statistics database link.
RAND State Statistics This link opens in a new window
RAND contains nearly 200 Social Science datasets covering statistics on important public policy issues from all 50 U.S states, plus about 80 additional detailed datasets on California.
The Stan State subscription allows you to download up to 20,000 lines from the data sets listed. (If a data set is larger, you can use the interface to access the data, and then filter your search to generate a list which is less than 20,000 lines. At that point, you can download the filtered data.)

The Stan State Library subscription to RAND State Statistics:

Allows you to download up to 20,000 lines from a data sets listed.
If a data set is larger than 20,0000 lines:
- Use the interface to display the the data on screen.
- Filter your search to generate a list which is less than 20,000 lines.
- At that point, you can download the filtered data.
