The Race Relations in America collection collection provides immediate access to full-text of 3665 items, including speeches, reports, and analyses on the state of race relations between 1943 and 1970. Compiled by the Race Relations Institute at Fisk University, it documents civil rights are racial struggles in the 1940's, 1950's, and 1960's.

Browsing the collection:
Under Search Directories, there are options to retrieve all documents associated with specific organizations, places, names or keywords.
Accessing the full-text:
When viewing an entry for a document, look for the Download entire document PDF or Download Image Range options from the top menu.
From a page displaying an individual image, choose Download Image from top menu of image viewer.
Entries in OneSearch:
OneSearch searches for brief information about the 3300 individual publications. Use the Adam Matthew interface to search within the text (or for anything beyond the basic title of the document).
Citing an item:
When viewing a list of thumbnails for a specific document, use the Citation/Export button (found just below the thumbnails for each page of that document).
You will need to take the information about the document and archive and place it into the proper citation format for the appropriate citation style. These are often considered documents or manuscripts retrieved from an archive.
Emailing a list of search results:
From the search results screen, you can email a list of titles which match your search, including the article title, newspaper title, date, and starting page number. The emails will also include links to individual records, but these links will work on-campus only. Return to the library's Databases A-Z page to access the database and search for the articles.

Download a PDF of an entire document, page range, or an image.
