Overview of CSU+

As part of the new OneSearch system, the CSU+ request service is now available. CSU Stanislaus faculty, students and staff are to request physical books and audio/visual media from all 23 CSU campus libraries.

Books not available via CSU+ can be searched in WorldCat and requested via ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan)


About CSU+

  • CSU+ includes physical materials (books and media) shelved in the libraries of all 23 CSU campuses
  • CSU+ will deliver requested items in 2-4 days
  • With CSU+ you can borrow books for 60 days
  • With CSU+ you can borrow media, such as DVDs and CDs, for 30 days
  • Use OneSearch (choosing either "Everything" or the CSU+ option) to identify materials and place reequests  

Using CSU+

  • To request books via CSU+, users must "Sign In" to the  OneSearch system.  (Only current students, faculty, and staff can request books and media via CSU+.)
  • In the OneSearch system, books from all 23 CSU libaries will appear when the search when searching "Everything" or when using the Books and Media (CSU+) search option.
    • To limit searches to CSU+, click on the eyeglass icon  OneSearch Eye Glass icon to the right of the search box and change "Everything" to Books & Media (CSU+) or use the direct link to CSU+.
    • CSU+ search results will include books and media available at CSU Stanislaus as well as at 23 other CSU campus libraries
  • On a search results page, items not immediately available for CSU Stanislaus will appear with a "Check Holdings" underneath the title. 
  • Click "Check Holdings"  (or click a title and scroll down) to display the "Get It" options for a specific title.
  • Under "Get It", choose Request from other CSU Libraries: CSU+.   (Note: CSU+ request links will only display if you are "signed in" to the OneSearch system.)
  • Complete and submit the request form.
  • A message will be sent to your campus email address when the item is available to be picked up at the CSU Stanislaus Library (usually in 2-4 days).

Transition from Link+

CSU+ now serves as the library's expedited book retrieval service.  Like the preceding Link+ service, books (and media) shelved in off-campus partner libraries can be searched in the same system with the CSU Stanislaus library's local materials.

Important Dates for Link+ to CSU+ Migration:

May 26th
Last date for CSU Stanislaus faculty, students and staff to request books using Link+

May 27th -  Early July
All requests to borrow books not owned by CSU Stanislaus will be handled using ILLiad

July 15
CSU Stanislaus faculty, students and staff will be able to place requests to borrow books from other CSU libraries using the new OneSearch and CSU+ services.
