Interlibrary Loan Services

Interlibrary Loan provides current CSU Stanislaus students, faculty and staff access to materials not owned by CSU Stanislaus. Most books are requested from another CSU Campus (via CSU+) and arrive in 3 to 5 business days.  PDFs of articles and chapters are usually available to in 1 to 3 business days.

Placing a Request

Check OneSearch first to access CSU Stanislaus Library materials.  In OneSearch, for items not owned by the library, Sign In to display Get It / "Get a copy" options to request your that title. If you cannot find a desired item in OneSearch, complete and submit the blank Interlibrary Loan Request form. Research Help Librarians are also available for assistance with requests.

Interlibrary Loan Request (Blank Form)

  • Books
    • Use the Book form for theses and dissertations, reports, music scores, and other non-journal materials. Required textbooks cannot be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
  • Articles
    • Use the Article form for articles from journals, newspapers, magazines and similar periodical.

Access Your Item / Status of Your Request

You will receive email updates on the status and access to items requested via Interlibrary Loan, with instructions on how to access them when the item becomes available.

  • OneSearch Account
    • Articles are available to download under the Requests section of your OneSearch account for thirty days after a request is filled.
    • Books that have been requested but not checked out are listed under "Requests" in your OneSearch account.
    • Books you have checked out are listed under "Loans" in your OneSearch Account.
  • ILLiad Account
    • Books not available via a OneSearch partner library may be routed through the alternate ILLiad Interlibrary Loan system. Always use the OneSearch ILL request form to submit your requests, and you will receive an email if a request is filled through the ILLiad system.
