To create a website using Wix, create a personal account.
Then click on "Create New Site."
It will ask you if you want to use AI to help you build your site, you can "Skip" this if you'd like.
Select the type of website you want to create by typing one or two keywords then selecting the type of website. If you'd like, you can also skip this part.
Give your website a name.
It will then ask you to select "goals" for your website and any "apps" you want to add. If you don't want to select any goals or add any apps, deselect any items that have been selected by default, then click "continue."
It will ask you to create a custom domain. Do not create a custom domain or it will charge you a fee. Instead click on "Design site."
Next, select the theme for your website. I recommend clicking on "Pick a template."
Then, select the template you want for your site. Hover over the template and select "edit." You can search for a type of theme using a few keywords that describe a topic or style.
You can edit your website by utilizing the edit tools on both the left and right side of the screen, and by clicking on the elements on the page. You can change colors, font, sizes, and add text, images, media, etc.
When you are finished editing your site, click on the "Publish" button at the top. Once published, Wix will give you your website's URL to share. The domain of your website includes your user ID.
