To create a website using WordPress, create a personal account.
Then click on "Add new site" to create a new site.
Next, choose your domain, which is your website name. Your URL will look like this [website name].wordpress.com.
Select the "Free" option.
Then select "Start with Free."
No need to select "Goals." You can skip this part if you like and click on the button "continue."
Select "Choose a design." Make sure you only select designs that do not have the black label "upgrade." If you select a design with the black label "upgrade" you won't be able to publish your site for free.
Then select the "default style" or a style that is not under the upgrade section under the black upgrade icon. Once selected, click on "Continue."
Complete the final steps to launch, including your site name. To edit your design (color, text, size, adding content and images etc., click on "edit site design.").
When you are ready to publish your site, select "Launch your site."
You site will be ready to share.
