Introduction to Library Services

The library provides a wide array of services in support of the School of Nursing, including the online RN to BSN program.

Research Databases

CINAHL Plus with Full Text This link opens in a new window
Primary database to search for articles from nursing journals. Includes the full-text of articles from many titles (PDF) licensed by the provider, or Find It! links to the full-text of titles available via other library subscriptions or Interlibrary Loan request forms.
CINAHL® Plus also provides indexing for more than 5,000 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. The database contains more than 4 million records dating back to 1937.

PubMed
If you use the Stan State library links, PubMed will include FindIt! links to the full-text of articles available only via library subscriptions.

OneSearch (Everything) This link opens in a new window
Search for books shelved in the Stan State library or available by request via the CSU+ system. "Articles" results include peer-reviewed journals & selected magazines.

Links like Find It!, Online Access, and Full Text Available lead from an abstract and citation in a database to:
- Full article online (when available)
- Request for to get an online copy from another library (Interlibrary Loan, see link below)
- A list of Print and Microform holdings, which can be sent as PDF to distance/online only students using the "Email the citation to a librarian" in the record, Distance / Online Student Request Form (see link below) or Email Me (available on the left-side of this guide)

Interlibrary Loan Services
Usually available via the Find It! links in a database or "no full text" links in OneSearch, used to request articles and other items not owned by the library.
Distance / Online Student Request
If you need a physical item (e.g. a book that is only available in hard copy, not as an ebook), and you are an online or distance student, you can complete the request form.
