Modern Assyrian History & Culture

This is a subject guide for library resources on Assyrian (Chaldean or Syriac) history and culture.

About the Modern Assyrian Heritage Collection

The Modern Assyrian Heritage Collection, established in 2015 through the generous donation of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Sarguis and the Francis Sarguis Modern Assyrian Heritage Fund, serves as a valuable resource for preserving and celebrating Assyrian history and culture. This collection focuses on the "modern" era, spanning from approximately 300 AD to the present, and includes materials documenting all aspects of Assyrian heritage.

Housed in the R. Dean Galloway Reading Room on the first floor of the J. Burton Vasché Library at the Turlock main campus, the collection offers a dedicated space for research and exploration of Assyrian cultural and historical contributions.
