Report a Problem with Access to Library Resources

There may be temporary problems with access to online resources as the campus network is updated.

Current Access Issues

The campus is migrating campus workstations and services to a new "IP range."  This may cause disruptions with some library services.  Please submit the Report an Access Problem form if you encounter problems accessing online library resources.

The following library resources may not currently accessible through the new IP range (campus wifi, off-campus proxy server, some workstations on campus).

Not Accessible through the updated network (new IP range):

Not Accessible Off-campus (when using the library proxy server)

Not Accessible via the Old IP Range (non-migrated workstations)

Verifying if you are human

Various Internet companies including Cloudfare implemented stricter security policies in the summer of 2024.  This has resulted in you somtimes receiving "Verifying if you are human" messages  if you are trying to access library resources, especially off-campus.

While most of these access issues have been resolved, these messages are still occasionally encountered for some resources. If you encounter this "verifying if you are human" message:

  1. Wait five minutes.
    • Sometimes your screen will resolve to the journal/database content after several minutes.
  2. Close the browser and try again.
    • The system sometimes leaves a cookie which may help with smooth access during your next session.
    • If the "Verifying if you are human" message does not resolve to the site after five minutes, close your browser and try again.
    • Do not delete your cookies!
  3. Try again later that day or the next day.
    • If the "Verifying if you are human" message again, try later that day or the next day.
    • Again, make sure you do not delete your cookies.
  4. Contact the library for a PDF of a specific article.
