About

Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15, honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of people and ancestors from Hispanic and Latine cultures. The month begins on September 15, marking the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, followed by Mexico’s independence on September 16 and Chile’s on September 18. This celebration recognizes the richness of Hispanic and Latine traditions in art, music, food, literature, and community leadership. It is a time to uplift diverse voices, reflect on heritage, and celebrate the impact of these communities in the U.S.
