Welcome to the Graduate Research & Writing Workshops Guide!
The purpose of this guide is to provide more information on the workshops including:

  • Access to workshop surveys
  • Supplemental handouts
  • Workshop logistics 

Each page on the left-hand side navigation corresponds to a topic.

Location:
Workshops are held on the second floor of the library in L260. Workshops are held in-person and online.
In-person Format
Register on arrival with StanTutor:
On arrival, tutors will help graduate students log into StanTutor.
Choose a lecture topic:
Scan the QR code to pick one of six topics of interest for the workshop. The lecture for each workshop will be dependent on crowdsourcing directly from graduate students.
Lecture (20-25 min.):
Workshop lectures range in topic. Lecture slides can be accessed from handouts uploaded in this guide. 
Research & Writing Help (40-50 min.):
A librarian and writing center faculty will roam and assist graduate students with their work, providing research and writing support and guidance. Graduate writing tutors assist as well, providing additional writing support and guidance.

Before arriving, please RSVP to register attendance.

Research & Writing Help (40-50 min.):
The librarian, writing center faculty, and tutors will enter separate breakout rooms after the lecture. Each breakout room is uniquely tailored to the strengths of the librarian, writing center faculty, and tutors. Breakout rooms are labeled with categories to assist graduate students with determining which room best accommodates their support needs. Graduate students are encouraged to enter a breakout room for tailored support.
