They utilize standards of research and writing directed by editors and other professionals in their field - this ensures the quality and accuracy of the information in the journal or book.

GenderWatch™ provides authoritative historical and current perspectives on the evolution of gender roles as they affect both men and women. Combining hundreds of academic, gray, and popular literature titles, GenderWatch provides researchers with hundreds of thousands of articles on wide-ranging topics.
Subjects covered include: sexuality, religion, societal roles, feminism, masculinity, eating disorders, day care, and the workplace.
Concurrent searching in Academic Search Premier and Omnifile Mega for full-text articles, including peer-reviewed titles; indexing and abstracts; and bibliographic citations. These scholarly collections offer information in nearly every area of academic study.
Social Services Abstracts provides bibliographic coverage of current research focused on social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development. The database includes abstracts of journal articles and dissertations as well as citations to book reviews.
APA PsycInfo provides access to abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations. It is provides peer-reviewed literature in behavioral science and mental health, and contains citations and summaries dating as far back as the 1600s.
APA PsycInfo is indexed with controlled vocabulary from APA's Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms®. Included is information on the psychological aspects of related fields such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, technology, linguistics, anthropology, business, law and others. Journal coverage, which spans from the 1800s to the present, includes international material selected from periodicals in dozens of languages.
Excellent "pro/con" analysis of key social, economic, and policy issues. Weekly issues cover a new topic in a 20-30 page report, including a history of the issue, the current debate with likely outcomes, and a bibliography of key sources. Covers 1991 - present.
