How to Locate a Journal or Magazine Available in the University Library

Most journals and magazines (also referred to as periodicals) are shelved in the Library Annex in alphabetical order. To find a journal or magazine:

  1. Search the discovery service, OneSearch, and enter the desired periodical's title.
  2. Note the physical location, year range, and possible links to databases for online access.
  3. Go to the appropriate location in the library.

  • To find journals or magazines located in the CSU Stanislaus Library or in digital format, change the dropdown menu on OneSearch from “Everything” to “Articles.”
  • Enter the title or the journal or magazine in the search box.
  • Journals and Magazines available on campus will have a location designation of "Periodicals Collection." A librarian or library staff member can help you find the journal or magazine in the Library.
