The Asian American Psychological Association Since its inception, the Association advocated on behalf of Asian Americans as well as advancing Asian American psychology. In the 1980’s, for example, the AAPA pressed the U.S. Bureau of the Census to include Asian American subgroups in its census data, and fought against the English-only language movement in California.

California AAPI Legislative Caucus Accounting for about 16% of the state's population, Asian and Pacific Islander Americans (APIA) continue to be among the fastest growing racial and ethnic groups in the state. California is home to about one-third of the nation's APIA population. As part of the substantial demographic shift in recent decades, the Caucus was founded in 2001 and serves to represent and advocate for the interests of the APIA community, including increasing APIA representation and participation at all levels of government.
Central Valley Asian American Chamber of Commerce Non-profit 501(c)6 organization founded in March 2000 with a vision is to improve and expand the overall leadership of the region’s Asian-American community. CVACC’s goals include: providing resource contacts for our members, assisting with community outreach, forming partnerships and collaboration with community-based organizations and representing the legislative interests of our members.
Filipino American National Historical Society Museum The Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) Museum opened in 2016 and reflects the many contributions that Filipino Americans have made towards the history of the United States of America. The city of Stockton was chosen as the site for the Filipino American National Historical Society Museum by the FANHS Board of Trustees at the 1994 Conference held in San Francisco. This Museum houses the many items of historical memorabilia that has been gathered by each chapter as well as other items donated from private citizens.
Merced Lao Family Community Inc. Merced Lao Family Community, Inc. (MLFC), is a non-profit organization founded in 1981. The organization was established to provide assistance to the influx of Southeast Asian refugees who fled from the aftermath of the Vietnam War. Merced Lao Family was formed to provide social work assistance, adult & youth programs, educational, arts and craft and cultural programs. These programs are aimed to help adapt to the language, workforce, western culture and the new way of live.

Stanislaus Asian American Community Resource Stanislaus Asian American Community Resource (SAACR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of Asian Americans. We provide services and connect resources that bring asian communities together, addressing needs, helping the underserved, and making positive changes within Stanislaus County.
Stockton Cambodian Buddhist Temple As seen on Huell Howser’s "Road Trip" to Stockton in 2007, the Stockton Cambodian Buddhist Temple features over 90 colorful and larger than life jewel encrusted statues that celebrate the life and story of the Cambodian Buddha. You have to see it to believe it....the temple boasts a 50 foot long recumbent Buddha. Also home to the annual Cambodian New Year Celebration in April.
