Accessibility: Keeping Universal Design for Learning Top of Mind

This Library Guide is created to help students, faculty, and staff learn about the accessible tools Microsoft Office Products comes with to make your work accessible to everyone. The trick to accessibility is to design with accesssiblity from the start.

Student Resources

Microsoft support for community members with disabilities at Explore Accessiblity Support online.

Disability Resources Services (DRS) is here to help regardless of whether your disability is permanent or temporary. The DRS team is located on the first floor inside the library building!

From the DRS website, "Students are asked to notify the disability service office as soon as possible to discuss disability-related concerns and needs. Services include but are not limited to: alternate text, assistive technology information, notetakers, sign language interpreters, real-time captioning, campus housing accommodations, campus accessibility, and disability parking information, testing accommodations, advocacy, or assistance with any other campus disability-related needs." Read more about their services at Disability Resource Services webpage.

Building a strong foundation starts with mental health wellbeing. There is no shame in seeking out professionals to sort your thoughts and build a more resilient Warrior who has the tools needed to help overcome the daily stressors life may bring.

Warriors are fortunate to have access to professional counselors and psychologists at CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services). "The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office encourages students experiencing difficulties to reach out and make an appointment for a consultation with one of our counselors. Our counselors are ready to hear you and determine the best method of support to meet your unique circumstances."

Visit the CAPS website to learn more about services and schedule an appointment.
