Stanislaus State Biennial Author Recognition (2017)

Academic Affairs, the Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, and the University Library are pleased to sponsor the inaugural Stanislaus State Biennial Author Recognition Event.

 

This new campus event is designed to recognize faculty, emeriti, administrators, and staff who have done any of the following:

  • Edited or published a scholarly book, textbook, exhibition catalogue, catalogue raisonné, or a book of general interest
  • Edited or published a book of fiction, creative non-fiction, memoir, art, photography, or poetry
  • Published a scholarly article, chapter, or chapters in an anthology, book, or textbook
  • Published fiction, creative non-fiction, memoir, art, photography, or poetry in an anthology or journal
  • Written a play, screenplay, or script for other media (e.g. documentary, short film, radio play)
  • Written music performed and/or recorded on compact disk or other media.

 

Scholarly and creative works should have been peer-reviewed and/or distributed by recognized theatres, festivals, museums, galleries, concert venues, and physical or virtual publishers.

 

For this inaugural event, materials published from the January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2016 will be accepted in order to bring the greatest amount of recognition to esteemed Stanislaus State authors and creators of original works.

 

We look forward to celebrating scholarly and creative accomplishments from the campus community at large on:

All submissions must have been distributed, performed, published, or bear a copyright date between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2016.

To submit your work(s):

Faculty, emeriti, administrators and staff members should electronically submit the following information by March 29th, 2017, using the electronic form: 

  • Submitter’s name
  • Status (Faculty, Emeriti, Administrator, Staff)
  • Department
  • College / Division
  • Email address
  • Publication type (book, journal article or book chapter, edited book, or original creative work)
  • Preferred citation
  • Name of publisher, journal, or venue
  • Description of the work being recognized (75 words maximum)
  • Please loan a copy of the work to the Dean of Library Services’ office by April 7th
  • Works will be returned after May 1, 2017
