Borrowing and Access Privileges


 

Currently enrolled CSU Stanislaus students may borrow most library books for 16 weeks and have access to library subscribed electronic resources on campus and remotely. Loan periods for print resources vary depending on item type; review due dates on the Loan Receipt Letter received via email.  Actively enrolled students are entitled to CSU-wide borrowing through the CSU+ service and Interlibrary Loan service

Your Warrior Card is used as your library card. To obtain a warrior card, visit the Warrior Card web page.

CSU Stanislaus students should be able to use a current Student ID to obtain borrowing privileges at the following institutions.

California Universities

Current CSU Stanislaus faculty and emeritus faculty may borrow most library books for up to one year and have access to library subscribed electronic resources on campus and remotely. Loan periods for print resources vary depending on item type; review due dates on the Loan Receipt Letter received via email. CSU Stanislaus faculty are entitled to CSU-wide borrowing through the CSU+ service and Interlibrary Loan service

Alumni of CSU Stanislaus may be issued a library card once confirmed by the Alumni Association. These users may check out up to 5 items at one time from the University Library, and can use our reference and electronic database services while at the University by establishing a guest log in. Loan periods vary depending on item type; review due dates on the Loan Receipt Letter received via email. There is no charge for those with a valid Alumni Association Card.

To obtain a CSU Stanislaus Library Card:

  • CSU Stanislaus Library cards can be obtained at the Circulation Desk in the University Library. 
  • Bring a picture ID (driver's license, California ID card, passport, military ID, etc.) and verification of Alumni Association membership and alumni status.
  • Your CSU Stanislaus Library Card is required every time you wish to check out library materials.

For local high school students interested in requesting borrowing privileges at the University Library, please speak with a staff member at the Circulation Desk or call us directly at (209)667-3234.

Students attending any campus of the California State University or University of California systems, or a Higher Education Consortium of Central California (HECCC) college, which includes Columbia College, Merced College, Modesto Junior College, Yosemite Community College, and San Joaquin Delta College, are entitled to library privileges at CSU Stanislaus. For an annual fee of $5.00, these students may obtain a CSU Stanislaus Library card and borrow materials from the library. These users may check out up to 5 items at one time and use our reference and electronic database services while at the University by establishing a guest log in. Loan periods vary depending on item type; review due dates on the Loan Receipt Letter received via email.

To obtain a CSU Stanislaus Library card:

  • CSU Stanislaus Library cards can be obtained at the Circulation Desk in the University Library.
  • Bring proof of registration and a picture ID (driver's license, California ID card, passport, military ID, etc.).
  • Your CSU Stanislaus Library Card is required every time you wish to check out library materials.

Individuals not currently associated with the University (including retired staff and former faculty not at emeritus status) or any of our consortial educational institutions may obtain a General Public Library Card for an annual fee of $35.00.  These users may check out up to 5 items at one time and use our reference and electronic database services while at the University by establishing a guest log in. Loan periods vary depending on item type; review due dates on the Loan Receipt Letter received via email.

To obtain a CSU Stanislaus Library card:
