- Provides access to over 100,000 articles focusing on gender roles as they affect both men and women. Titles from academic, popular, and gray literature include coverage of sexuality, religion, societal roles, feminism, masculinity, eating disorders, day care, and the workplace.

Catalog/Book Search Tips
Keywords can be any terms, but the catalogs only search brief descriptions (title, author, subjects) of books, and not the full-text. Search terms should be words that are likely to appear in the title of a book rather than something very specific. (e.g. Search for "Title IX" instead of "How has Title IX affected women's participation in college athletics?")
Subject searching retrieves all works on a topic, but you must use "official" subject headings to be successful. Some examples of relevant subject headings include:

Academic Search Elite

Social Sciences Full Text
- Searches the abstracts (descriptions) of 700,000 articles published in over 600 key social science journals from 1984 to the present. Subjects covered include anthropology, area studies, criminal Justice, economics, environmental studies, gender studies, geography, public administration, political science, psychology, social work, and sociology. Also includes the full-text of articles from 250 journals.

Other Discipline-Specific Research Databases
Research in sociology and psychology will cover many issues related to gender and sexuality. Literary source will include discussion of gender issues in various types of literature. Public policy touches a vast array of issues related to gender and sexuality issues. Relatively recent developments (e.g. especially those over the last 5 - 10 years) may have more coverage news and general sources than in scholarly studies.
