Quiet Study

Quiet study is defined as study activities which do not involve prolonged conversations, in person or on personal devices.


Expectations for quiet study areas are:

  • No conversations utilizing cellular or computer devices
  • Audio only at a low volume with headphones
  • No loud or prolonged conversations


These areas are identified as quiet study areas:

  • Second and Third floor book stack areas
  • Media viewing area
  • West Reading Room


All persons in the library are expected to abide by library policies and by the CSU Stanislaus Student Code of Conduct. Persons in violation of library policy or the Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the library.
