Off-Campus Access to Secure Sites (via https)

Access via Find It! links        |         Access via Database links

Sevices Affected from Find It:

Temporary Security Warnings

Due to a recent change in server software, off-campus users accessing several library resources may encounter a warning that a connection is untrusted, insecure, or not private.  In reality, the connection is secure.  We apologize for any confusion this has caused and the following instructions will provide access to these resources until the security certificate is formally updated.

Off-Campus Users: To Bypass the Security Warnings

Note the instructions below and then proceed to the appropriate links (to Get It Now! or Project Muse on a Find It! screen).

Chrome:

  1. On the “Your connection is not private” screen, choose “Advanced” (on the lower left side of screen).
  2. Under “Advanced,” choose “Proceed to” (unsafe) link.

FireFox:

  1. On the “This connection is untrusted” link, choose “I understand the risks.”
  2. Under “I understand the risks,” choose “Add exception.”
  3. On the “Add security exception” menu, choose “Confirm Security Exception.”

Internet Explorer:

  1. On the “There is a problem with this website’s security” page, choose “Continue to this website.”

On-campus computers/network:

Just use one of the following links for the databases:  Oxford Journals, Project Muse, Get It Now!

Off-campus computers/devices using other networks:

Note the "bypass" instructions above before selecting the appropriate database link on this page (or a link to Get It Now! or Project Muse on a Find It! screen).

Services Affected via Database A-Z and other database links:

Access Restricted to Current Warrior Names

Due to a recent change in server software, off-campus users accessing several library resources are now required to login with a current Warrior User ID and password.  (Access using an older Library barcode number may be restored during a future upgrade.)
