Borrow books not available from the University Library easily, fast, and free with

LINK+, a consortium of academic and public libraries in California and Nevada, allows Stanislaus students, faculty, and staff to borrow books not available from the University Library. Requests are made easily online from the University Library Catalog with a few simple steps and generally arrive in two to three days.

Borrowers are permitted to have 15 LINK+ requests or checkouts at any one time.

Renewing LINK+ items is easy. Renewal requests are made via the My Account option in the University Library Catalog. You will need to wait until three days prior to the due date before you can request a renewal.

Here's how it works:

  • Search the University Library Catalog to determine whether the Library owns items you seek.

  • If the Library doesn't own items you seek or if copies are checked out, click on

  • Your search will occur automatically in the LINK+ catalog.

  • When you see the item you seek, click on REQUEST THIS ITEM.

  • Indicate your affiliation with CSU Stanislaus.

  • After selecting CSU Stanislaus, click Submit Button

  • You will be asked to enter your name and your campus ID number.

  • After providing that information, click on the Submit button.

  • You will receive an email from the University Library letting you know that your item is ready for pick up. Use the My Account option in the University Library Catalog to check the status/availability of your request.
