Articles not available in the library's online or print collections can be requested via Interlibrary Loan. There is no charge to CSU Stanislaus users for this service and articles are usually available online 2-5 days after an Interlibray Loan request is submitted.
If an item is not available online or in the library, the Find It! menu should link to Interlibrary Loan and enter the citation information into the request form. (Requests can also be entered manually via the Interlibrary Loan web page.)
How to submit an Interlibrary Loan article request via a Find It! menu:
1) If you have never used Interlibrary Loan, register for ILLiad first.
If you have never requested an item via Interlibrary Loan, register for a free ILLiad account.
2) Access the Find It! menu for your article.
Find a citation for your article from an appropriate library database (like the Combined Search) and look for the or Check availability links . (Instead, you can also use the Find a Specific Citation service to look-up a known citation.)
3) Click "Request a copy of this article"
This option only appears for articles not available online or in the library's print collection.
The first time you use the ILLiad request system you'll be prompted to register for a free ILLiad account.
Once you have registered, you will need to return to the Find It! menu and click on "Request a copy" again to have the bibliographic data automatically inserted into the ILLiad request form.

4) Submit Request
The information from the desired article should display in a request form. Check the information and scroll down to submit the request.
First time users: If the article information (author, title, volume, etc.) is not already in the request form, simply close the ILLiad window and on the Find It! screen click "Request a copy link" again.
5) Message (with a link) will be sent to your campus email when the article is available.
Articles requested via Interlibrary Loan are usually available in 2-5 working days.
