How to Register for Interlibrary Loan

If you have not previously used the Interlibrary Loan/ILLiad service, registering for an ILLiad account is quick and easy.  Once  registered, you can usually request materials with just a couple of clicks from a Find It! menu or by completing a request form linked from our Interlibrary Loan page.

To Register for a Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) account:

  1. Go to ILLiad (http://library.csustan.edu/s/purl.php?749)
  2. You may be prompted to login with your campus username and password.
  3. In ILLiad, determine whether or not you already have an account:
    • If you do see “Main Menu for [your username]", you have already completed the registration and you are ready to submit requests.
    • If you do not see "Main menu of ILLiad for [your username]" at the top of the screen, complete and submit the registration form.
  4. When registering for ILLiad:
    • The university ID number is your nine digit campus number that usually begins with a zero (found just below your name on your Warrior Card).
    • Set the Secondary Article Delivery Method to "Hold for Pickup." (Books will need to be picked up in the Library.  Articles are delivered online.)
    • Set the Delivery Location to Circulation Desk in Turlock.
(Set to "Stockton Campus" onlyif you do not regularly attend classes Turlock but instead regularly use the Stockton Library Access Center.)
  5. Once you are registered, you can return to a Find It! menu and use the Request a Copy via Interlibrary Loan link (which will place the author, date, year, etc., in the form for you) or go directly to the Interlibrary Loan page to submit a request (by typing the citation information yourself)
