Library Cards

You will need to present a current Warrior Card or your CSU Stanislaus Library Card each time you want to check out materials. For those associated with the University (currently registered students, faculty and staff), your Warrior Card serves as your library card. All others who wish to borrow materials from the University Library will need to have a CSU Stanislaus Library Card. 

 

What do I need to get a Library Card?

 

CSU Stanislaus students, faculty, and staff

For currently enrolled CSU Stanislaus students, faculty, and staff, the campus ID card (the Warrior Card) serves as your Library card, and is requied every time your wish to check out library materials.

  • In Turlock, Warrior Cards may be obtained from the Student Union Information Desk.
  • In Stockton, Warrior Cards may be obtained from the Student Information Center.

 

Students from other CSU campuses and local community colleges 

Currently registered students from other CSU campuses as well as students and faculty from Modesto Junior College, Delta, Merced, or Columbia College (Higher Education Consortium of Central California/HECCC) are entitled to CSU Stanislaus Library cards.

  • CSU Stanislaus Library Cards can be obtained at the Circulation Desk in the Library
  • Cards cost $5.00 for students from other CSU campuses and local community colleges (HECCC) 
  • Bring proof of registration and a picture ID (driver's license, California ID card, passport…)
  • The CSU Stanislaus Library Card is required every time you wish to check out library materials.

 

High school students 

High School students must complete a High School Student Application form and have it signed by the high school librarian, the librarian from the public library and the parent or guardian of the individual applying for privileges.

  • CSU Stanislaus Library Cards can be obtained at the Circulation Desk in the Library. 
  • Cards cost $15.00 for high school students.
  • Bring proof of registration and a picture ID (driver license, California ID card, passport…), and a completed High School Student Application form signed by an appropriate librarian and a parent/guardian.
  • The CSU Stanislaus Library Card is required every time you wish to check out library materials.

 

Alumni

Alumni of CSU Stanislaus and other California State University Campuses are entitled to selected library services for Alumni.  

For more information about the Alumni Association/alumni status, contact the CSU Office of Alumni Affairs (209-667-3131).

  • CSU Stanislaus Library Cards can be obtained at the Circulation Desk in the main library.
  • A picture ID and verification of Alumni Association membership/alumni status is required.
  • Library cards require a materials/processing fee of $5.00
  • The CSU Stanislaus Library Card is required every time you wish to check out library materials.

 

Community borrowers

Individuals who are not associated with any of our Higher Education Consortium of Central California (HECCC) campuses.

  • CSU Stanislaus Library Cards can be obtained at the Circulation Desk in the main library.
  • Bring a picture ID (driver license, California ID card, passport…).
  • Community borrowing privileges and cards cost $35.00.
  • The CSU Stanislaus Library Card is required every time you wish to check out library materials.

Please note: Library cards are required every time library materials are checked out of the library.
